About Us

The project was set up between schools on the U.K, Holland, Cyprus, Spain, Portugal and Poland.

The objectives of the project is set out below:

The project plans to address the development of understanding of each school’s cultures and traditions, through stories and story telling. The children will collaborate with partner schools to explore each other countries traditions and celebrations, whilst sharing initial impressions.

The children will be able to explore and produce collaborative work on their own cultural heritage and share this with their partners, using traditional and modern ICT technologies. They will be able to tell others stories from their own country and the stories behind celebrations and Festivals.

In the second year the children will access each others heritage through the medium of story telling. All children will share stories they are familiar with, and have been handed down through the generations, producing stories, using traditional methods and modern technologies, in order to compile a compendium of traditional stories, myths and legends from each country.

The result will be an exciting informed insight into each others’ cultures and greater respect for each others’ way of life.

The teachers will be able to meet and through discussion share experiences from within education in their countries.

“Through a spirit of Sharing, children and adults alike will gain greater understanding of their European friends.”
